1 pkg cake mix prepared and cooked in 13x9 pan
Poke holes in cake immediately when done w/ round handle of a wooden spoon about an inch apart, making fairly large holes in the cake.
Only AFTER poking holes, combine in mixing bowl:
2 sm pkgs jello instant pudding
1 c. powdered sugar
gradually add 4 c. cold milk
beat on low for 1 min
Quickly pour over warm cake to make the stripes. Allow remaining pudding to thicken slightly and spoon over for "frosting".
Chill at least 1 hour.
Keep refridgerated.
Top each serving with dollop of Cool Whip.
Obviously this is really versatile, we usually make chocolate, but here's other ideas:
white cake/vanilla pudding
yellow cake/lemon pudding
chocolate cake/vanilla pudding
white cake/chocolate pudding
chocolate cake/chocolate pudding
