2 lbs frozen hash browns
1 sm carton sour cream
1 stick butter
1/2 c. onion, sauteed
2 c grated cheddar
2 c. crunched corn flakes
salt and pepper
1 can cream of chicken soup
Melt 1/2 stick butter, add soup, sour cream, onion, cheese, salt and pepper.
Pour frozen potatoes in 9x13in greased pan.
Top with cream mixture.
Melt the other 1/2 stick butter and add cornflakes
Spread over all.
Bake at 350 deg for 1 hour
