Nina's Peanut Brittle

2 c. sugar
1 c. Karo syrup
1/3 c. hot water
1 t salt
1 T butter
1 T baking soda
16oz shelled RAW peanuts
apx 3 cups

Butter 2 15x12" pans, warm
cook sugar, Karo and water in 3 qt saucepan over med heat, stir occassionally to 240 degrees.
Stir in peanuts and salt. Cook, stir constantly to 310 degrees.
remove from heat, and stir in butter and soda (BE CAREFUL-it bubbles when you add the soda)
Pour into baking dishes.
Cool, then break into pieces.
