Irish Italian Spaghetti

1 chopped onion
2 T oil
1 lb gr beef
1 t salt
1/4 t pepper
1 T chili powder
1/2 t tabasco
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can tomato soup
1 8 oz pkg spaghetti
1/2 c. grated parm cheese

Brown onion in oil, add meat and seasonings. Brown lightly. Cover and simmer 10 min. Add soups and cover and simmer for 45 min.
Cook spaghetti and drain. Mix in with the sauce, add parmesean.

(def. a comfort food for us if there ever was one. Popsey's plate always had a little spoonful of onion left on the side after he was finished. Nina always lovingly cut the onion into bigger pieces so he could pick them out.)

Make the sauce in a humongous batch and freeze - even better ! again- a must have monthly if you are a McClendon
