Five Hour Stew

1-2 lbs stew meat
6 carrots
6 sm potatoes
6 sm onions
1 1/2 tsp salt
3/4 c. tomato sauce
1/2 c. water
3 T instant tapioca
1 t sugar
1/2 t pepper

Place meat unbrowned in large dutch oven. Chop vegetables in same size pieces and place over the meat.
Combine remaining ingredients and pour over.
Cover tightly with foil and bake at 250 degrees for 5 hours.
DO NOT UNCOVER OR PEEK!!
