2 1/2 c. flour
3-4 T sugar
1/2 t salt
1/2 t soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 pkg yeast
4-6 T shortening
melted butter
Mix dry ingredients. Heat buttermilk to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm milk. Cut shortening into dry mixture. Add yeast/milk
Knead 20-30 times then roll out. Cut with biscuit cutter. Making two layers for each biscuit. Brush in the middle and top with melted butter.
Let rise. Then bake 375 degrees for 10 min.
