Boston Market Cornbread

2 (8 1/2 oz) boxes Jiffy corn muffin mix
1 (18 oz) box butter cake mix
5 eggs
2/3 cups water
1/2 cup butter (softened)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and mix all dry ingredients.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Pour into greased cupcake pans or mini loaf pans.
Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Allow to cool slightly in the pan, remove from pan and serve warm.

They taste EXACTLY like them!!

Toffee Dessert

Toast 1 c. of pecans in 1 stick butter and 3/4 t salt

Sift 2 c. powdered sugar
Add 1 t cocoa
Cream with 1/2 c. butter
Add 2 egg yolks, toasted pecans, and 1 t vanilla

Fold in 2 beaten egg whites

Crush 1/2 c. vanilla wafers.
Place 1/2 c. crumbs into 8x8" pan
Add mixture to pan.

Cover w/ left over crumbs
Chill
Top each serving with whipped cream.

Nina's Sugar Cookies

Mix together and chill:
1 c oil
1 c butter
1 c sugar
1 c powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 t soda
1 t cream of tartar
1/2 t vanilla
1/2 t lemon flavor
4 1/2 c. flour

Spoon out with tsp onto ungreased cookie sheet. Sip glass into sugar and flatten each cookie. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.

Cocoroons

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla
1 1/3 c flaked coconut
1 c. graham cracker crumbs
1/4 t cinnamon

Cream butter, add sugar, cream until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla.
In seperate bowl combine remaining ingredients, mix well then blend into butter/sugar.
Drop dough by tsp onto ungreased cookie sheet 2" apart.
Bake at 350 deg for 10 min.
Loosen immediately and cool 2 min before removing from pan.

Carma Lee Little's Wonder Brownies

1 c. flour
3/4 t salt
1 c sugar
1/2 t baking powder
2 eggs, beaten
2/3 c. oil
2 T cocoa
1 t vanilla

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat sugar into eggs, mix in oil, cocoa, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients
Add nuts if desired.
Bake at 350 degrees in 8x8 pan

Ahart's Brown Sugar Squares

2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 T baking powder
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c flour
2 t vanilla

Melt butter and sugar in skillet, but do not let bubble. Cool slightly. Beat in eggs, flour and 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
Cut in squares.
When cool, shape
Very moist!

(Apparently the Aharts were some freaky next door neighbors in Garland)

Clara's Pecan Tarts

1 c. flour
3 oz cream cheese
1 stick of margarine

Mix this well and chill one hour.

Press into small muffin pans with fingers.

Filling:
1 egg
3/4 c. brown sugar
2Tmargarine
pinch of salt

Mix well and add 1 c. chopped pecans. Pour into tarts in muffin pans. Bake at 325 for 25 minutes.
